2. Back to the ‘W’ Column for Kluber
The beat goes on for Indians ace Corey Kluber, who went seven innings, not allowing an earned run on eight hits with no walks and four K’s in the victory.
He was so good early throwing strikes, that once the Indians put up a five spot in the second he was able to put it on cruise control and get the win to improve to 6-2.
On the day Kluber threw 97 pitches, 69 of which were strikes, and his ERA is down to 2.34 on the season. He’s allowed three or fewer runs in 21 starts in the regular season dating back to August 1st of last year.
He’s set for a showdown with Dallas Keuchel and the Astros Friday in Houston.
