OBERLIN, OHIO – The Columbia Lady Raiders celebrated three good things on Wednesday night:
1. The return to the lineup of senior co-captain Danielle Matzelle.
2. Getting a win over Patriot League rival Oberlin.
3. Bringing their season record back over the breakeven point.
Columbia (7-6) led all the way as they recorded a 55-32 victory. Junior forward Riley Thomas was the top scorer with 10 points, and all 11 Raiders who dressed for the game recorded at least two points in the scorebook.
Oberlin, under first-year coach Tiffany Shields, held their own on the boards grabbing 37 rebounds. Leading scorer for the Phoenix was junior post Karissa Rankin with 10 points.
