NFL free agent, Geno Smith has caught the attention of a couple NFL teams. The Los Angeles Charger and the Cleveland Browns are very interested in Smith according to NFL Network‘s Ian Rapoport.
Smith, a 26 year old QB from the Jets, met with the New York Giants and it reportedly went well but niether the Browns or Chargers have met with him yet.
Smith continued by telling Rapoport that, while he wants the chance at a starting job, he’s willing to take a backup position and learn.
The Browns look to be his best bet at this point of the talks because there is no defined starter in that role as of yet.
Smith could very well be just what the Browns need to add to the current roster to make an impact in theitr upcomng season. Look at this tweet Geno retweeted:

As with any QB that the Browns bring in, if the line protects them they will have time to put up numbers. Luckily the Browns are being systematic in suring things up on he front line.
Also on a side note, Rapoport Tweeted out earlier on the interest that the Jets have in Cousins, may warrant a visit soon to that camp.
The #Jets have been in touch with QB Jay Cutler, source said, & are keeping tabs on him. Expect a visit as they explore their options at QB

No, No, No, Geno !!!!! He would be a functional QB for a semi-pro team or would make a great punching bag.
