The Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League has announced the results from area coaches for their ‘Stars of the Week,’ players who “above and beyond” their normal play.
Here’s the players chosen by area coaches as stars of the week:
Red League
Jake Behler – Midview
The senior this week had a hat trick in their game vs Strongsville.
Max Cole – Hudson
The 12th grade forward had 4 goals and 2 assists in two league games this last week.
Noah Goad – Western Reserve Academy
The sophomore goalie had 43 saves in a 3-2 loss to Hudson.
Liam Siwik – Shaker Heights
The Red Raider goalie has allowed only 3 goals over the first four league games. He has posted two shutouts during league play and has a 0.50 goals against average.
Hunter Hillebrecht – Kent Roosevelt
The junior had 2 goals and recorded 2 assists in two league games.
Blue League
Kyle Ryan – Normandy
Had four goals and one assist in league game against CVCA while playing defense.
Chad Schnear – Brookyln
The junior had four goals this week including his first career Hat-trick.
White League
Scott Hill – Orange
The junior captain recorded his first hat trick of the season in Orange Lions 6-5 win vs Canfield.
Jake Kerkay – Olmsted Falls
In 5-1 victory over Amherst, as a defenseman, Jake scored 2 goals, had a plus minus of plus 4, blocked 3 shots and was instrumental in
killing off 4 penalties.
Matthew Rice – Chagrin Falls
In 2 games against Orange and Canfield, defenseman Matthew Rice registered 5 points (2 goals and 3 assists)
Vince Hepola – Canfield
Had a hat trick versus Orange on December 11th.
