In particular, she mentioned that today’s round was challenging since the greens were running fast.
“Today, the greens were super fast,” said Scirocco. “My chipping was pretty good today.”
In addition, Scirocco also provided her thoughts about the golf season ahead.
“Our team is pretty good this year,” said Scirocco. “I am looking forward to the rest of the season. I think it is going to be a good one for a good senior year.”
Garfield Coach Kevin Sponaugle talked about his team’s performance so far this year and what he is looking forward to for the team as the season progresses.
“Season as a whole is off to a really great start,” said Sponaugle. “In our regular matches we are 2-0. We got a few more coming up this week. Looking forward to the matches. We have three seniors this year, one freshman. We’re a small group, but they are a very tight knit group.”
The Garfield Girls Golf team will next compete against Champion (August 16th), Newton Falls (August 17th) and Southeast (August 19th).
