One position of need for the Browns is that of safety, and one candidate to fill that position in free agency isn’t coming to Cleveland according to reports.
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting safety Bradley McDougald, a player the Browns had interest in, is off the table today as he has agreed to a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks worth a reported $2 million dollars.
NFL Network reported the deal Wednesday morning. McDougald, who is from Columbus, visited the Browns on Monday.
He spoke with the Seahawks last week, and what makes the deal more interesting is he’s likely going to be a backup in Seattle behind Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas.
