There have been plenty of hot takes thrown out about recently fired Browns head coach Hue Jackson through his two and a half seasons in in Cleveland. On Friday, Jackson will get a chance to fire off some hot takes of his own.
That’s right, just days after being fired, the unemployed offensive guru will take his talents to TV as he’ll be joining Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman on ESPN’s First Take, Friday. The network’s Adam Schefter was the first to announce Jackson’s appearance.
Hue Jackson started the work week by being fired on Monday and will end it by being on First Take on Friday.

If you’re someone who thought Jackson was going to lay low for a while after losing his job, think again. The former Browns head man will surely have chance to open up about his time in Cleveland as well as his dismissal earlier this week. Talk about wasting no time.
For Jackson, the appearance could be a chance to defend himself after being dragged through the mud in the days since being fired. On top of the miserable 3-36-1 record he accumulated as Browns head coach, Jackson’s reported feud with offensive coordinator Todd Haley – who was also fired Monday – was a major factor in the franchise moving on. A prompt media appearance could give him a chance to clear his name in an effort to get back into coaching this offseason.
On the other hand, Jackson’s visit to ESPN could be an audition as well. He certainly wouldn’t be the first NFL coach to leave the game for a less stressful gig at a major sports network.
Whatever the intent of the appearance, Clevelanders have a reason to tune into First Take tomorrow.
