Former WWE Women’s Champion Chyna Passes Away at 45

The wrestling world felt another loss on Wednesday night, as former WWE Women’s Champion and IC Champion Chyna (Joan Marie Laurer) passed away according to her official twitter account at the age of 45.

Laurer redefined the women’s wrestling division for WWF during the mid to late 1990’s, and was the female ‘enforcer’ for the popular anti-establishment group known as ‘DX,’ led by WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels and Lauer’s one time real-life boyfriend Triple H (Paul Michael Levesque).

She had her share of issues once she was let go by the WWE in 2001, and even went so far as to making a sex tape released commercially in 2004 as “1 Night in China.” She also appeared in Playboy twice as well.

As of now there’s been no word on a cause of death for the former WWE star.
