Fans who watched the WWE in the early 2000’s recall Todd Grisham as the backstage interviewer. He was the guy getting the scoop on the news backstage between guys such as Chris Jericho, John Cena, Randy Orton, etc. Well, now he will be giving you the scoop on what’s going on in the Octagon.
According to Grisham’s Twitter himself, he has been hired as the play-by-play announcer for the UFC starting in 2017.
Just changed my twitter handle to @GrishamMMA. 2017 is going to be a great year!

Brett Okamoto from ESPN confirmed the move.
Congrats to my good friend @GrishamMMA, who will be making his debut on the desk with UFC next week in Phoenix. Excited for you, pal.

This will be an interesting move, as Grisham has also done commentary for Glory kickboxing and also boxing. Grisham will still be joined by Joe Rogan, who’s contract is up this year. Grisham will start on the 15th of January and call the night of fights headlined by Yair Rodriguez and B.J. Penn.
