Former Browns QB Manziel Explains Deleting Twitter Account; Working on “Bettering Himself”

Former Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel isn’t going to have a chance to take anymore shots at President Donald Trump on twitter for now after deleting his account Monday, and now is speaking out as to why he said ‘so long’ to the social network.

Manziel told TMZ that twitter hasn’t done him much good, and is a “distraction” for him, leading to him ending his account after taking one final shot at Trump.

The former first-round pick of the Browns says his current focus is on “bettering himself,” and that he’s got things to do in order to try and get back into the NFL.

“Twitter has been nothing but a distraction for me. I’ve said all I can say,” Manziel told TMZ. “Now I need to shut the hell up and work on bettering myself and my situation.”

The quarterback says that he’s sober, and that he’s doing what he can in the gym to work on a NFL comeback, something that will get plenty of attention as the 2017 season closes in.
