Former Baylor Coach Art Briles Shows Up at Browns Practice as Guest Coach

The Browns had a new face on sidelines during practice on Wednesday, as coach Hue Jackson brought in former Baylor football coach Art Briles to serve as a guest coach.

In case you forgot, Briles was fired in the wake of a sexual assault scandal at the school.

The coach does have a connection with the Browns, as he was the coach for QB Robert Griffin III.

“Hey, I’ll learn from anybody if they can help us,” Jackson said on Wednesday after practice.

“Obviously, he’s a very accomplished college coach and has done outstanding. I wish him well. He’s done just outstanding at Baylor, but at the same time, I think he was here to see his guys and get an opportunity to see us, our organization and what we do, but more so see his football players.”

The Baylor coach was canned back in late May after a sexual assault scandal at Baylor broke out which involved a number of players.

Jackson didn’t specify how long Briles would be with the Browns as a guest coach.

“Everybody deserves an opportunity to do what they do,” Jackson said.
