Five Takeaways From Sunday Night’s WWE “Payback” PPV

2. The ‘House of Horrors’ was Predictably Horrible

Okay we all know what element that the WWE was going for in the SmackDown WWE Championship ‘House of Horrors’ match between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt, but let’s be real for just a second – this was awful on every level.

The take on what the Hardy’s did in TNA with doing a pre-recorded segment in a ‘house’ was just sad. The blue and red color graphics was pointless, and no special effects was going to save this disaster.

If you were paying attention at all, you probably noticed that the WWE totally didn’t take into consideration the fact that outside the ‘house’ was dark when Wyatt got into the limo (which was odd in itself, why a limo?) to go back to the arena, despite the fact the card was taking place in San Jose, where it was only about 6:45pm and still very much light out.

The action in the ring was typical Orton and Wyatt, which we’ve seen tons of times before, and the only surprise aspect was the attack by Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers, which points to the upcoming title feud between the Jinder and Orton.

The Orton-Wyatt feud was a dud in the end, and this ‘House of Horrors’ match is a fitting end to a feud that bombed on just about every level.
