Five Takeaways From Sunday Night’s WWE “Payback” PPV

3. Bliss is a Star in the Making

While I have been critical of the way that the WWE has used Bayley to this point and pushed her too far, too soon, I am all for the way the company has been able to make Alexia Bliss into a star in the making.

Sunday she proved it once again, putting on a great match with WWE RAW Women’s Champion Bayley, and eventually pulling out the win to be the first woman in the company to win both the Women’s title on RAW and SmackDown.

Bliss very much has the ‘it’ factor, and at some point she’s going to become a huge babyface, but for now she’s an excellent heel, and does all the great things that a heel wrestler, male or female, does.

As for Bayley, it was a great match and I’m sure we will see a number of rematches between the two. I sill stand by that they have not booked Bayley well in her time on the main roster, but we will see now that she’s the hunter and not the hunted, if her character changes at all.
