Five Takeaways from the Browns 30-9 Loss to the Steelers

Johnny Manziel

1. Manziel Needs to Start the Rest of the Year – End of Story

Not sure on how you can get much negative feedback from this one, but at the end of the day Johnny Manziel threw for a career-high 372 yards, but his wide outs didn’t do him many favors, and he had no run game to speak of. He was running for his life as the offensive line didn’t play that well against the Steelers blitzes, and took a lot of hits and was sacked six times. The team isn’t going anywhere, so leave him in and let’s see if this kid can find a way to make some plays, like the scramble that should have been ruled a touchdown. This team has nothing to gain by putting Josh McCown back in the starting lineup. Let’s see what Mike Pettine comes up with in terms of trying to once again sit Manziel.
