The West Geauga Wolverines defeated the Orange Lions 40-0 on a cold, wet, and rainy Friday night.
The Wolverines were led by sophomore quarterback Finn Keenan who threw for two touchdowns and ran for another one, all in the first quarter.
West Geauga got their first touchdown when Keenan connected with senior Andrew Marino on a 14-yard touchdown pass with 6:18 left in the first quarter. After a successful two point conversion, West Geauga led 8-0.
The Wolverines would score two more touchdowns in the first quarter.
Keenan threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to fellow sophomore Matthew Osters to make the score 14-0 with four minutes left in the first quarter.
West Geauga then took a 20-0 lead on an 8-yard touchdown run by Keenan with less than a minute left in the first quarter.
The Wolverines scored two additional touchdowns in the second quarter.
Senior John Julian ran for a 25- yard touchdown with 10:53 left in the second quarter to put the Wolverines ahead 27-0.
The Wolverines completed their first half scoring on a 15-yard touchdown run by Quentin Artino to take a 33-0 lead going into halftime.
The Wolverines added a third quarter touchdown when Christian Mullica scored on a five-yard touchdown run to make the final score 40-0.
