Legal sports betting in the US has been a huge success but there haven’t been many newcomers that have been able to make immediate waves. The sportsbook by Fanatics, the sports apparel company, is looking to change that and is uniquely positioned to do so. With a customer base of 94 million people, its already off to a strong start.
The Fanatics-branded sportsbook, which has filed for a trademark as BetFanatics, will become available for the first time when it launches in Ohio.
Although details are sparse, here’s what we know so far about BetFanatics Ohio.
A “One-Stop Shop” For Sports Fans
Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin has said he envisions Fanatics being a one-stop shop for sports fans where they can get everything they want from one place. It’s not hard to see that happening, either, with the recent business moves from Rubin and Fanatics.
In January 2022, Fanatics acquired Topps, the legendary trading card company. A few months prior to that, Rubin helped launch Candy Digital, a digital collectible company offering NFTs.
Fanatics has also acquired other apparel companies along the way, like leading collegiate headwear company Top of the World and throwback brand Mitchell & Ness.
Combine all of these entities and you can imagine placing a wager on the Browns, looking for a Cavaliers rookie card, and buying Buckeyes gear all on the same platform.
What Could the BetFanatics Mobile App Feature?
Fanatics has become an e-commerce giant so they have to understand the importance of a positive customer experience. With all of the recent funding Fanatics has been doing, no expense should be spared regarding their online sportsbook.
The mobile app experience could likely rival that of DraftKings and FanDuel given its wealth of experience and the investments Fanatics has been making to ensure a successful launch.
When it comes to the types of bets and markets we’ll see on the platform, there’s no reason to expect anything less than depth and variety that competes with other top platforms in the industry, especially when it comes to the most popular US sports.
Fanatics also has international partnerships with soccer clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester United, and FC Bayern Munich. Because of this, Fanatics could also attempt to make a deeper push into some of the international markets that may get overlooked by other US-based sportsbooks.
BetFanatics Ohio New User Promo
We are still awaiting details on exactly what the BetFanatics OH promo will be. Considering the partnerships Fanatics has in place with every major US sports league, however, there’s hope for something creative.
Could BetFanatics tie in a sportsbook promo with something apparel related? Possibly offer some sort of giveaway? We’ll have to see, but Fanatics is in a position to truly wow bettors with its offer.
Several online sportsbooks are already offering early bonuses for Ohio bettors just for signing up ahead of the universal launch date on Jan. 1, 2023.
