The Fairview Warriors improved to 3-5 overall and 3-0 in Patriot Athletic Conference Stripes Division play with a 40-20 win over the Clearview Clippers.
Fairview capitalized on five Clearview turnovers throughout the night, scoring two defensive touchdowns.
Quarterback Josh Filkill accounted for four touchdowns on the night, scoring three on the ground and one through the air.
The Warriors travel to play Columbia in Week 9.
Both teams are undefeated in PAC Stripes Division play and the game will serve as the unofficial division championship.
Given the way that Fairview has played over its last three games, improving each week, they are certainly a team that is on the rise and has a chance to stun the conference.
The Warriors are a perfect example of why a team should never be counted out, especially early in the season, as they have overcome an 0-5 start to have a shot at the division championship and possibly go .500 on the season.
