For the past few weeks AM 850 WKNR has been teasing a big on-air announcement that turns out is a new subscription service that will allow listeners to have “on-demand, full shows, with NO commercials.”
Here’s the official tweet with the announcement:
Ask and you shall receive! Subscribe to https://t.co/oaaIdGksEw today for on-demand, full shows, with NO commercials. First 7 days = FREE! pic.twitter.com/tjkOsl6ITu

As you can see the station is asking for listeners to pay $8.50 a month or $85 a year, which if you pay up front is $7.08 a month. You also get a chance to view the studio as the shows are on the air.
The name for the site the station is using will be called TheLandOnDemand.com.
Fans on Twitter shared their opinion, both positive and negative, about the Station’s announcement
