Could Dwyane Wade suit up in the wine and gold this season?
According to a new report, it’s a definite possibility.
Speaking on the Wine and Gold Podcast, cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon said, “As of right now, people close to [LeBron] James are fairly confident that, at some point this year, Dwyane Wade is going to end up on the Cavs.”
Rumors also swirled last summer that Wade would once again team up with James in Cleveland, before he eventually left the Miami Heat and signed with the Chicago Bulls. This season though, the Bulls are essentially in rebuilding mode.
As a result, the Bulls and Wade are fully expected to reach a buyout agreement “at some point in the next few months,” according to ESPN’s Nick Friedell. If an agreement was reached, Wade would leave a lot of the 24 million dollars remaining on his contract on the table in Chicago.
Wade averaged 18.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game last season for the Bulls.
For now, rumors remain rumors, but Wade and James teaming up again would no doubt be intriguing.
