Draymond Green Has Civil Suit Filed Against Him For Last Year’s Bar Incident

Current NBA Champion and Golden State Warriors Forward Draymond Green is currently dealing with a problem off the court that is stemming from last year. Green got into an exchange at a bar in East Lansing, Michigan last July during the off-season, an off-season that was a very tiring one for Warriors players and fans.

During the exchange, Green allegedly punched a Michigan State student. The student who was punched, Jermaine Edmondson, is also a member of the Spartans’ football team. Also in the report, it was stated that Edmondson’s girlfriend, Bianca Williams, was choked by Green’s bodyguards. Green had to pay a $560 noise violation for the incident. It appears that was not a satisfactory result for Edmundson, as the Michigan State student has filed a civil suit against Green.

An excerpt from Edmondson’s civil suit is below, in which he refers to Green as a ‘bully’.

“On the basketball court, he is famous for hitting players in the groin, kicking violently, and feigning shock every time a foul is called against him. Off the court, he drinks excessively, lashes out at reporters and other athletes on social media, and continues to complain about being overlooked in the first round of the 2012 NBA draft.”

Edmondson and Williams are being represented by Lisa Bloom, who has represented Kathy Griffin and Blac Chyna in more recent cases.

A spokesperson for Green has stated that he “looks forward to defending himself and clearing up the misinformation put forth today”.
