Where did I leave off…Oh yes. I remember this very day just like it was yesterday. Picture in your minds, Browns Family, “Autumn September 10th, 2017.” I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
Chilly Autumn Rain
It was the “Rainy Season” in Cleveland, Ohio. Growing up in a “subtropical climate” I never let a little rain stop me, for that matter any weather stop me from doing something fun.
However what I didn’t know at that time was, Cleveland, Ohio, “autumn rain” was frigid.
Okay, I thought to myself, “You are prepared! You are wearing an ‘obnoxious’ bright orange poncho that will allegedly keep the rain off of you.” I was 100% wrong. The poncho betrayed my trust and funneled all the ice cold water down into my shirt and pants.
So being the eternal optimist I am, I thought to myself: “There’s no way this experience could get any worse.” Did I forget to mention the Browns were playing “the hated Steelers” again, another factor that fueled my excitement to watch this game in person, amongst, none other than Steelers fans. 🎶Que scary 🎶
My Seats
Fun fact, the seats where this game was experienced happened to be on the visitor side of the field in section 505 which I’ve mentioned in my previous “story.” I was so interested in watching the players I met previously at training camp take to the field in this muddy battle. Nothing was going to stop me from enjoying this experience.
For the third and final time (think summoning Beetlejuice), I thought to myself, “There is NO WAY this could get worse. Not this specific game, not this season. . . NO WAY!”
Numbers are numbers and coincidences are coincidences. I wasn’t the only factor in “jinxing” that game’s outcome yet alone the entire season of the Cleveland Browns. (Think…rhymes with “Blue Hackson!”)
