You never know who is going to get the ultimate scoop in sports these days, like the guy who works at the airport seeing a player getting on a plane, or a waiter at a restaurant who gets told by a trainer of a team that a player is getting traded.
Now that LeBron James is with the Lakers, there’s folks that have said they knew James was going to head to Los Angeles all along, but there is one Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model who claims she had the scoop on James some 16 hours before the announcement was officially made.
That model is Chrissy Teigen, who is a pretty interesting follow on Twitter. She claimed on Twitter at 1:19am Sunday morning that she spotted James getting his name embroidered on a blank Lakers jersey.
Here’s the tweet with a pic of (allegedly) James leaving an embroidery shop – a tweet that had quite a bit of play on social media.
Ok got him leaving the basketball jersey embroidery shop. This is downtown LA pic.twitter.com/fMhrjFJKgz

Teigen with great satisfaction went on Twitter after the official announcement came down on Sunday, with a simple two word statement about James coming to the Lakers.

Who knows if she was right or not, but as usual in this day and age of social media, it’s always funny to see folks who claim that have that ‘scoop’ and even more funny when the scoop ends up coming true.

Like the cupcake gal when James came back to Cleveland and she called it before hand.
