CLEVELAND – Dez Bryant has stated that he’ll wait until later in the season to sign with a team. Reported by ESPN, Bryant, replying via Twitter to a fan on Monday had this to say, “I just have to take care of me first” also, “I will play ball this year just might be a lil bit later in the year.”
Many believed that the Cleveland Browns may have given up on Bryant once Josh Gordon announced his return. That wasn’t the case as they still offered Bryant a one-year five million dollar contract that was reportedly declined. The Browns have been interested in signing the former Pro-Bowl receiver since training camp, but it looks like that ship may have sailed.
It’s possible that Bryant may wait to see if a contending team may need his services if an injury pops up. It’ll be interesting to see if Bryant still has the Browns on his list of teams. He also rejected a three-year contract from the Baltimore Ravens earlier in the summer.
