CLEVELAND – The Browns haven’t been shy about their interest in former Cowboys’ star receiver, Dez Bryant.
During the first week of training camp, general manager John Dorsey admitted that they had contracted Bryant’s representatives. Yet, there’s been no traction between the two sides since. In fact, Dorsey told the media prior to the Browns preseason opener with the Giants that he wants to bring the 29-year-old in for a meeting this week, but he isn’t returning his calls.
If Dorsey left a message though, it sounds like Bryant got it.
The Cowboys’ castaway took to Twitter to share an update on his free agent courting and made sure to let Dorsey know that he’ll be visiting “the Land.”
Starting my visits next week…I’m coming to the Land to see you Mr Dorsey

Unfortunately for Bryant, Dorsey has publicly said he’s not much of a Twitter guy, which means he probably hasn’t seen the response. Hopefully Bryant lets Dorsey know the old fashioned way and give him a call back.
There’s been plenty of mixed reaction to the Browns expressing interest in Bryant outside of team facilities. The three-time Pro Bowler comes has developed the reputation of being a prima donna and sometimes too vocal. That makes for some concern in regards to how he’d impact the culture of this young Cleveland roster.
At the same time, the Browns could use some more talent at wide receiver. For starters, Josh Gordon has yet to arrive at camp and while Dorsey and company have reiterated that he will show up at some point, Gordon’s been unreliable in the past. The team also just traded former first-round pick, Corey Coleman, earlier this week.
