Deja Vú: Cavs Sweep Raptors, 123-98; Three Takeaways From The Victory

1.  They Got Five On It- It took eleven games into the playoff run but the Cavaliers finally had a well-oiled machine known as a starting unit. For the first time in these playoffs, the Cavs had all five starters in double-digit scoring and it reflected on the lopsided total.

Everyone knew what they were getting with LeBron James and that’s a given. James gave Cleveland a 29-point performance with eight rebounds and eleven assists sprinkled in along the way. But it was the other four that makes this a takeaway.

All of the remaining starters found their flow and attacked the Toronto defense in a multitude of different ways. Kevin Love once again played a beautiful inside-out game, George Hill showed elusiveness while driving to the lane, and JR Smith and Kyle Korver knocked down shots from the perimeter at will. It was as close to perfect as the team’s gotten to a complete performance and for it to come in a closeout game is absolutely unbelievable considering where they were a month ago.

Crazy how things work.
