If there’s a player still on the wish list for Indians fans as Christmas approaches, it has to be that of Jays 1B Edwin Encarnacion, who remains on the free agent market.
Encarnacion, who last season hit 42 homers and drove in an American League high 127 RBI, is getting looks from a number of teams, with the Indians in that mix.
Tonight, it appears a decision for the 33-year-old is closer, as the first tweet comes from Jon Heyman, who says that Encarnacion has a couple of 3-year offers, with the Indians included.
Hearing word Ecarnacion camp has multiple strong 3-year offers. A's, Indians known in. Rangers, rox others maybe in.

Another tweet comes form Chris Cotillo of SB Nation, who says he feels that the native of La Romana wants to have a decision possibly by Christmas.
Edwin Encarnacion's camp hopeful a deal will be completed before the weekend, source tells SBN. Multiple teams reportedly involved.

Finally a tweet from A’s writer Susan Slusser, who says despite what Heyman wrote, the A’s are not one of those teams in the mix with a three-year deal.
The A's have not made Edwin Encarnacion a three-year offer; they discussed a two-year deal with him, which probably won't get the job done.

Despite the market being very slow for the services of a player that hit 42 homers last season, it looks like there’s some movement and that the slugger could have a new team by the end of the holiday weekend.
