Corey Kluber Notches 20th Win, Indians Top White Sox 4-0; Three Takeaways

2. Guyer Gets the ‘O’ Going

Brandon Guyer went 1-for-3 at the plate, but the one hit was a big one, as it was a solo homer to left which came in the 7th to break a scoreless tie.

It was the 7th homer of the season for Guyer, who still has enough pop in his bat and has shown over and over this season his ability to come up with big hits when the team needs it.

Up until the homer it wasn’t a great night for Guyer, who grounded into a double play, and also was 0-for-2 with runners in scoring position.

But, in the end he came up big when the team had to have a hit, and gave them the 1-0 lead to leadoff the 7th.
