Corey Kluber Notches 20th Win, Indians Top White Sox 4-0; Three Takeaways

The Indians final week of the regular season started with a win on Monday night, as the ace of their staff, Corey Kluber, earned his 20th win of the season in a Tribe 4-0 shutout win.

It’s the first time in Kluber’s career he’s reached 20 wins after getting to 18 in three of the last four seasons. He is now 20-7 on the season for the AL Central Champs.

The offense took quite awhile to get going, but it finally did with a solo homer from Brandon Guyer, and then three runs in the 9th to put the game away.

The two teams are back at it on Tuesday, with Trevor Bauer going for the Indians in likely another short start, with Carlos Carrasco coming out of the pen.

For now, here’s three takeaways from Monday’s win in the Windy City.
