Left-hander Jamaris Cook was in a groove on Monday, as the southpaw pitched a five inning no-hitter in Elyria’s 13-0 win over Bay.
Cook went 4.2 perfect innings, but issued his first and only walk of the day with two down in the top of the fifth.
He retired the next batter quickly to preserve the no-no and send everybody home.
Cook fanned two, while his stellar defense did not commit an error.
Elyria’s offense put up 13 runs, six of which came in the first inning.
Willie Cruz-Rivera drove in three runs with a triple. James Spicer mashed a three-run double.
