Championship Saturday has come and gone and the college football world waited for the committee to make their final judgments. And after Saturday, welp!

ESPN had spoken, for those that follow them. Here was their playoff predictor.
The College Football Playoff committee has some difficult decisions to make.
For the 1st time in the CFP era, seven Power 5 teams have finished the season with one or fewer losses (excluding 2020).

But the committee said, “No, we got this.” And proceeded to leave out an undefeated team that won their conference. In fact, they left out a team on a 19-game winning streak. So FSU’s 97% likelihood of making the playoff was wrong! Makes one wonder if the committee even saw the ESPN/ALL-STATE predictor.
Here are your final four, according to the College Football Selection Committee.

We at NEOSI had our four picked out. But only Charles got it right in the end. In no order, here are our contributors’ selections:
Bill
1 Michigan
2 Washington
3 Texas
4 Florida State
Enough of the SEC love. Here’s what should have happened! But the committee needed Alabama in.

Of the top four UM, Wash and FSU all went undefeated in their conference and deserved it. Texas over GA and ALA is where the discussion should have been. Sadly, we all know now the SEC cried hard Sunday AM and FSU was dropped.
Munch
1 Washington
2 Florida State
3 TTUN
4 Texas
Jerry
1 Washington
2 TTUN
3 Florida State
4 Texas
“But what I think will happen is: TTUN, Washington, Georgia, Alabama.” Nope, Jerry. Not even that!
Charles
1 TTUN
2 Washington
3 Texas
4 Alabama
And with the committee’s decision, Charles nailed it, while the entire Florida State Noles Nation must try to figure out what happened.

Personally, I felt Miami University of Ohio deserved the fourth spot! Go Redhawks!
