GAME PREVIEW:
• CSU concludes the first round of Horizon League play when the Vikings play at Valparaiso at 8:00 pm ET on Thursday (Jan. 28).
• The game will be broadcast live on AM 1420-WHK with Al Pawlowski providing the play-by-play and will also be available on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN App.
• The Vikings are 7-14 overall and 2-6 in the Horizon League. CSU is coming off a 70-55 setback to Youngstown State on Sunday.
• Valparaiso is 17-4 overall and tied for first place in the Horizon League with a 7-1 mark.
• The Crusaders received nine votes in this week’s AP Top-25 poll and six in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
THE VALPARAISO SERIES:
• CSU leads the all-time series with Valparaiso, 30-16.
• Valpo has won seven of the last nine meetings, including all three match-ups last year after CSU swept the two games in 2013-14.
• Since Valparaiso joined the Horizon League in 2007-08, the teams have split their 18 meetings.
• CSU is 12-10 all-time in Valparaiso.
UP NEXT:
• The Vikings begin the second round of Horizon League play when CSU travels to UIC for a 4:00 pm ET contest on Saturday (Jan. 30).
• CSU returns home to host Detroit on Thursday (Feb. 4) at 7:30 pm in the Wolstein Center. It will be a doubleheader with the CSU women hosting Detroit at 5:30 pm.
