The Cinderella story that is the Cleveland SC season will continue into the playoffs. They traveled to Syracuse tonight and secured their fourth straight win 1-0. This now gives them 24 points for the season with one game to play, and locks up a playoff berth.
Antonio Manfut broke a scoreless tie in the 44th minute to open the scoring. It turned out to be the only goal of the match as once again Cleveland SC played incredible defense. Cleveland SC and Syrcause FC both had plenty of chances, but in the end, it SC holding on for the giant win!
Cleveland SC improves their record to 7 wins, 3 draws and only 1 loss. They are also unbeaten on the road this season. They have one game left, next Saturday at Erie, with the winner securing a first round playoff game and a Midwest East Division Championship.
