CLEVELAND – After getting swept by the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium, the Cleveland Indians have returned home and won five straight games, including tonight’s with a final score 6-0. Two of their three wins in the sweep over the White Sox came in walkoff fashion, and they look to complete another one against the Rays Wednesday night to make it six wins in a row.
The Indians would score first in the 3rd inning when Yan Gomes started things with a lead off single. Tyler Naquin would move Gomes into scoring position with a sac to first, and with two down, Jason Kipnis delivered a single to deep center that got by Rays outfielder Desmond Jennings. The ball would roll all the way to the wall to allow himself and Gomes to both score, putting the Tribe ahead 2-0. Watch below!
