Guardians starting pitcher Cal Quantrill pitched 3.2 innings for the Akron RubberDucks in their 4-2 victory over the Erie Sea Wolves (Detroit Tigers Double AA Affiliate).
The only run that Quantrill gave up was a home run to Jace Jung, the Detroit Tigers 4th ranked top prospect, in the first inning.
The RubberDucks tied the game at one when Connor Knoxx singled with the bases loaded to drive in a run.
The Seawolves answered with a run in the top of the sixth to take a 2-1 lead.
In the bottom of the sixth the Rubberducks tied the game at two.
The bottom of the sixth inning started with Korey Holland being hit by a pitch and then Aaron Bracho walked.
Bryce Ball then drove in a run with an RBI single.
The game remained tied 2-2 until the bottom of the eighth.
Korey Holland started the inning with a line drive double to left field. After a fly out, Bryce Ball singled to right field to drive in a run to make the score 3-2.
Micael Ramirez then hit a line drive double as Bryce Hall scored from first base to give the RubberDucks a 4-2 lead.
For the game, the RubberDucks were led by Bryce Ball who was 3-4 with two RBI.
The RubberDucks play the Sea Wolves at Canal Park next on Wednesday at 6:35pm.
