Football season begins Friday for the Cleveland Browns as they visit the Green Bay Packers on the road for their first preseason game.
The first official football game starts on September 11, but every NFL organization likes to tease fans by releasing an unofficial depth chart before the first preseason game.

This depth chart doesn’t necessarily reflect the play or practice reps after the first week. Basically, take this with a grain of salt and just wait until the official depth chart gets released before the regular season.
The most noteworthy roster move on this first chart is that the Browns have Corey Coleman as the number one receiver alongside former quarterback turned receiver Terrelle Pryor. Just yesterday I wrote an article and went into detail why I believe Pryor will make it on the 53-man roster and will shine this season.
Josh Gordon will become the number one receiver once he returns from suspension in week 5 against the New England Patriots. The team will then have Corey Coleman listed as the number two and from there it will be a battle between the other receivers to see who is listed as the number 3 receiver on the roster. This is why the National Football League does preseason football games. Just wait and find out.
As of right now it will be very interesting to compare this first depth chart to the others coming very soon. It will constantly change throughout the preseason.
A fun battle to watch, other than the wide receivers, is the right tackle position. Rookie Spencer Drango and veteran Alvin Bailey will be fighting to secure the right tackle position and both will have to give it all they have in Friday’s game against the Green Bay Packers and the entire preseason.
Once again, this first unofficial depth chart should not make fans nervous or upset heading into the first preseason matchup. Take it with a grain of salt and just enjoy football because it’s finally back!
