Training Camp is a time where players express their feelings and emotions before the start of the regular season. During a media interview the other day, several Browns players talked about wide receiver Josh Gordon and his comeback to football.
Corey Coleman was the first athlete to discuss Gordon and seemed super excited to work next to him this season. When he was asked what he thought about Josh Gordon and him rejoining the team he stated,
It’s exciting really. It gives us another weapon on offense. I’m happy for him to be back on the team. He went to Baylor. He’s a part of the family.
He was also asked about how well he knows Gordon and said,
I know him really well. When I was younger and getting recruited by Baylor and stuff, I used to go to Baylor and watch him play, him and (Titans WR) Kendall (Wright) up there.
Coleman discussed the Pro Bowl receiver one last time when he was asked if he knew Gordon before joining the Browns (basically the same question as before).
I knew J.G. way before this. Like I said, when I was at Baylor and I was like a sophomore going up there to visit and stuff, I remember watching him practice. He’s an exciting player and I’m happy he’s a part of the Browns.
Linebacker Paul Kruger informed the media about Josh Gordon’s return and the changes he seems to have made.
He’s here, and that’s the bottom line. He’s made those changes that have got him to this building and to this point. There have been a lot of guys who have been in his situation and had the obstacles and haven’t been able to recover, and I think Josh has proven that he’s determined to resurrect himself in a sense so I’m supportive of it. I’m happy for him, and not only that but we need him.
These were two athletes that discussed Josh Gordon and his return to football. The other athlete was running back Isaiah Crowell who was answering questions about his offseason social media post.
This seems to be a very interesting and exciting year for the Browns. The team has three offensive juggernauts that are all from the University of Baylor (RGIII, Coleman, Gordon). These three athletes hope to take the league by storm this season and become one of the best offenses in the National Football League.
