Cleveland Browns 2nd Rounder, Pick 58: Ja’lynn Polk, WR, Washington
A transfer from Texas Tech University who joined the Huskies (Washington) in 2021 has been exploding up NFL draft boards! Polk, who stands at 6’2”, 204 lbs, was 15th in the country in receiving yards with 1,159 in only 10 games this past season! On-top of his 1000-yard season he recorded 69 receptions & 9 touchdowns, he was the ultimate playmaker on the Huskies offense and is exactly the spark this Browns offense could use this upcoming season! He has many great traits including his overall speed, tracking ability, and hands. Drafting Polk can allow the Browns to utilize Elijah Moore and Amari Cooper in different ways and open up the offense for Head Coach Kevin Stefanski!
Cleveland Browns 3rd Rounder, Pick 88: Tommy Eichenberg, LB, Ohio State
A stout linebacker from Ohio State, Eichenberg born in Cleveland, Ohio, has shown glimpses of greatness in his college career! Eichenberg has been selected as a 2x First-team All-Big Ten selection and in 2023 he won the Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year which is given to the Big 10’s best Linebacker. In his career at Ohio State, he totaled 3.5 sacks and had over 260 total tackles and was widely regarded as a future NFL starter! Eichenberg can provide the Browns with great depth at linebacker in the future under the direction of LB’s Coach Jason Tarver and DC Jim Schwartz!
**NO ROUND 4 PICK**
Cleveland Browns 5th Rounder, Pick 129: Zak Zinter, OG, Michigan
Zinter, a native of Port St. Lucie, Florida, is a 6’6” 322 lbs guard from Michigan, the 1x National Champion, 2x First-team All-Big Ten, Unanimous All-American player, has been a four-year starter for the Wolverines and was one of the most promising offensive line prospects in this upcoming draft! Zinter sustained a broken tibia and fibula in a game against the Ohio State Buckeyes that abruptly ended his season. He utilizes all the tools he has in his toolbox while in pass protection and in the run game! Under the direction of offensive line guru Bill Callahan and Asst. OL Coach Scott Peters, Zinter has the ceiling to become a very good guard at the pro level and this would be a great pick for the Browns to build up their depth on the injury riddled offensive line.
Cleveland Browns 5th Rounder, Pick 155: Zy Alexander, DB, LSU
A Louisiana native, Alexander who stands at 6’2” 188 lbs is a prototypical lengthy NFL corner prospect who has a ton of range and flexibility! In eight games with the Tigers in 2023, Alexander recorded 30 solo tackles, 2 interceptions, and 7 passes defended. Alexander suffered a lower leg injury in a game against Army this past season and missed the next two games, ending his season. Alexander has incredible speed, and his length fits the profile the Browns look to add each and every year at defensive back! This selection with proper development could turn into a nice addition to the already stacked secondary the Browns have!
