The Cleveland Browns are an organization that has athletes who can play football or somewhat struggle at football. In a recent article posted by Vincent Verhei of Football Outsiders, Browns defensive end Desmond Bryant is considered the team’s most underrated player.
Verhei gave his reasoning on why Bryant is the most underrated Browns player on the roster:
Bryant’s 91 percent stop rate against the run was third in the league, and he led the team with six sacks. But you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone outside northeast Ohio (and few within the Cleveland city limits) who knows who he is.
When you have a player that has so much success against the run and you really never hear about him, then you know he is a very underrated player. The Browns are looking to take the AFC North by storm in 2016 and need their defense to step up in every single way.
With a healthy corner in Joe Haden and a healthy defensive front with a more slim second-year player in Danny Shelton, the team is hoping head coach Hue Jackson can ignite this Browns team and provide them with some hope, passion, and motivation to win football games in 2016.
