NBA writer/analyst Chris Broussard gave his thoughts on rumblings regarding the possibility of LeBron James leaving Cleveland in the summer of 2018.
"LeBron likes Northeast Ohio. His plan right now is to stay in Cleveland. All this Los Angeles talk is way premature." – @Chris_Broussard pic.twitter.com/91tGGuKZQV

The key words in this statement to me are “right now.”
When Broussard says “right now,” does he mean right now as in “between today and the end of the 2018 Finals?” or does he mean LeBron’s plan right now is to stay in Cleveland for the rest of his career?
At the end of the day, any reports that come out one way or the other have to be taken with a grain of salt, because LeBron’s decision will ultimately depend more on how next season and next year’s Playoffs go than anything that’s said this year.
Broussard has a long track record of having early reports disproved on both sides of the equation, but he’s still plugged in with LeBron’s people.
The last point Broussard made is probably what all of us need to sit back and realize.
All this Los Angeles talk is way premature. For that matter, so is the talk that there’s no possible way he would leave Cleveland. Remember how that worked out last time?
It’s going to be a long year of these reports and none of them will determine LeBron’s choice, so just be patient with this situation and after we see how the Cavs handle the 2018 Playoffs, we’ll have a better idea of whether or not he’s staying.
If you’d like to comment below what you think will happen, feel free to do so, but your guess is as good as Adrian Wojnarowski’s, Chris Broussard’s and mine at this point.
