CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Charge of the NBA G League have finalized their basketball staff ahead of the 2023-24 season. Led by new General Manager Liron Fanan and second-year Head Coach Mike Gerrity, a combination of familiar and new faces will comprise the group that lead the Charge when training camp begins on October 30.
Returning to the Charge bench alongside Coach Gerrity are Associate Head Coach Chris Darnell, Assistant Coach D.J. Ham, Player Development Coach/Scout Daniel Gibson, Video Coordinator Willie Williams, Head Athletic Trainer Takuya Kikuchi and Strength & Conditioning Coach Jamie Pasquin.
New for this season are Assistant Coach Doron Perkins and NBA Assistant Coach Program Apprentice Sam Clancy. Perkins joins the Charge after spending two seasons with Maccabi Tel Aviv as an assistant coach that preceded two seasons with the Brooklyn and Long Island Nets working as an assistant coach and in the video room. A Cleveland native and St. Edward’s graduate, Clancy comes to the Charge as part of the NBA Assistant Coaches Program, where the league places an aspiring coach/front office member with a NBA G League team in an opportunity to continue their growth.
In addition, the Charge announced several appointments to their basketball operations staff: Luis Gonzalez-Infante and Max Weisberg have both been promoted to Assistant General Manager, Brandon Halupnik has been promoted to Manager of Operations/Player Development, and Corey Jones has been promoted to Basketball Operations Intern. The changes come on the heels of two Charge staff members earning NBA Call-Ups this offseason to the Cleveland Cavaliers: Brendon Yu was promoted to Director of Scouting and Omar Cook was promoted to an Assistant Coach.
The Charge will open their 2023-24 season at home when they host the Wisconsin Herd (Milwaukee Bucks) at CSU’s Wolstein Center on Friday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now! CHECK OUT SINGLE GAME TICKETS AND MORE DETAILS ON ALL PROMOTIONS HERE!
