1. Inside the Cavs Box Score
The Cavs had three starters in double digits, with LeBron James leading the way with 29 points. Kevin Love had 20 and J.R. Smith had 15, but all in all the team wasn’t able to get any separation between them and the Pacers and allowed Indiana to hang around all night.
The end result was like the game November 1st, as Indiana topped the Cavs in Cleveland. This win for Indiana was even more impressive, as they didn’t shoot lights out like in the first win, but took the Cavs best shot and kept coming, with Victor Oladipo and Bojan Bogdanovic leading the Pacers with a combined 43 points, hitting big shots.
The Cavs shot 43 percent from the field, but were just 30 percent from three-point range, hitting just 11-of-36 three point shots. They also missed five free throws, which would have come in handy in the four-point loss.
The Pacers out rebounded the Cavs 50-44, which isn’t much, but again it set a tone that pushed the Pacers to having the confidence down the stretch to pull out the win.
There’s not much time to feel sorry about this setback for the Cavs, with the 76’ers waiting in Cleveland for a Saturday night showdown at the Q.
