Cavs weather the storm, beat Charlotte 113-89

 Always gotta stay ready

In professional sports you always have to stay ready, you never know when your number is going to be called. David Nwaba knows this, “I think the biggest thing is just having positive people around me that know what I bring to this team and I know what I bring as well. It’s just important to wait for my time and just to be patient.” When his number was called Tuesday night, Nwaba made sure everyone in the arena knew he was ready.

Tuesday night Nwaba was in the first group of Cavaliers brought off the bench in the first quarter, in just over three minutes of action the guard went (3-3) from the field for seven quick points. The best part about Nwaba’s quickstart was the fact that he was able to carry on the energy that the starting unit brought, “That’s just my game. It’s always just being aggressive when it comes to the offensive end, as well as the defensive end. Just playing my game. Being aggressive. Drive it the basket and taking wide open shots.”

Nwaba finished the game with a new Cavaliers high, 18 points on (7/9) shooting, including (2-2) from deep. He also added five rebounds, four of which came on the defensive end. His defense and rebounding helped contribute to the poor shooting by the Hornets. The Cavaliers are continuing to improve on both ends of the floor each game and it is good to see guys like Nwaba get rewarded for their hard work. Nwaba has the potential to be a key contributor for the Cavaliers going forward this season, especially if he plays as well as he did tonight.
