CLEVELAND– True to his word, Tyronn Lue has altered the Cavs’ starting lineup prior to Game 2 in their opening round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers.
Lue has replaced Rodney Hood and Jeff Green with Kyle Korver and JR Smith. George Hill and Kevin Love remain in the lineup along with LeBron James.
The new starting five is something that we have seen often over the last four seasons: James and four shooters.
In theory, this should work better in combating Indiana’s defensive plan of hiding big man Myles Turner on Jeff Green and having him sag off to help inside. If all goes according to plan, all five guys will be a threat from long range and the Cavs should get off to a hotter offensive start this than they did in Game 1
