Cavaliers win if…
They come out and compete for 48 minutes. In two home games this season, the effort has faded away during stretches if they can withstand another pitfall this one should be close late in the game. They have shown fight in their three road games this season, but still found themselves fighting back from 20 point deficits, those second and third quarter runs by the opposition have been deadly all season. The other night against Detroit fans saw an increase in three point shots which helped keep them in the game against Detroit, expect a similar offensive game plan tonight to help the offense find a flow.
Pacers win if…
The Pacers need to come out and take the fight to the Cavaliers early on. If Indiana is able get out to a 10 point lead in the first quarter they may be able to knock the wind out of a struggling Cavaliers team. On the flip side of that, if the Pacers come out sluggish or slow they’ll be in for a fight as the Cavs are desperate right now, or they should be. Victor Oladipo and company will need to spread the ball around because the Cleveland defense has shown all season long they struggle with their rotations. Indiana isn’t known as one of the best shooting teams in the NBA but they have enough shooters that could knock down open shots, when the defense is late on closing on shooters.
