The Night Kyrie Took Over the Palace; Cavs Sweep Pistons with 100-98 Win in Game 4

The Cleveland Cavaliers have swept the Detroit Pistons in four games, thanks to a 100-98 victory on the road in Game 4 at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

The Big Three of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love all stepped up in this series, but Game 4 belonged to Irving, who tied his playoff career-high in scoring with 31 points.

Irving made one ridiculous highlight after another, none more amazing than his half-court buzzer-beater to end the third quarter, which felt like a momentum-shifting play.

The half court shot was just the exclamation point of the night for Irving,

Here’s Kyrie scoring over the imposing center Andre Drummond midway through the second quarter:

Kyrie’s buzzer beater wasn’t the only highlight from the third quarter, in which he scored 13 points. Here’s Kyrie making something out of nothing and hitting a three while the defense shakes their heads.

And Irving came through in the clutch as usual, knocking down a three late in the fourth quarter to give the Cavs a four-point lead with less than a minute to go.

None of this is to take away from the rest of the group, who played a great all-around game, but this game will forever be remembered as the night Kyrie took over the Palace.

4 Games Down. 12 to Go.
