Cavs Start the Playoff Push

Cleveland OH – In a few hours, the new era of the Cavs will start. It’s the era without Lebron where the Cavs are on the cusp of being real contenders. The Cavs start the first round of the 2023 playoffs against the New York Knicks. The Cavs having home court in this round, come in relatively healthy. The Knicks star forward Julius Randle will test out his ankle during warmups to try and give it a go.

The Cavs lost the regular season matchup to the Knicks dropping 3 of 4 games with the only win coming back in October. In that game the Cavs hit 23 threes. But all that goes out the window when the playoffs start. It is a completely new season. The Cavs will go into the game with the best player in Donavan Mitchell. Mitchell has plenty of playoff experience with the Utah Jazz.

Outside of Mitchell, Caris Levert and Jarett Allen have playoff experience with the Brooklyn Nets. The Knicks will come in and play tough hard nose defense. They are led by Jalen Brunson and Randle. The Cavs will have their hands full as they will have to focus on the defense and keeping the Knicks Mitchell Robinson off the boards. This series could easily be a seven-game series as both teams are evenly matched. But the series could also prove to be the start of the Cavs ascent to the top of the NBA mountain top. However, it ends, this will be fun!! And Cleveland fans should embrace the good and bad, as this will undoubtedly have highs and lows but it’s all a part of the process.
