The Cavaliers came out with authority in Friday night’s 119-99 blowout win, while the Brooklyn Nets looked like they just wanted to head home for Christmas.
Cleveland led 29-15 after one quarter and it only got worse from there.
LeBron James finished with 19 points, six assists, and five rebounds – only needing to play 27 minutes, which is a positive heading into Sunday’s Christmas showdown with the Golden State Warriors.
Kevin Love put up another double-double with 14 points and 15 boards.
Tristan Thompson also posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Kyrie Irving scored 13 points and dished out 10 assists.
He now has finished with ten or more assists in three of his last four games.
Our Role Player of the Game is Mike Dunleavy, who had arguably his best game as a Cavalier, scoring 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
It was Dunleavy’s highest scoring game since joining the team and 12 of his points came in the first half.
The Cavs (22-6) host the Warriors (26-4) on Sunday at 2:30 pm.
