Aside from Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, scoring was hard to come by without LeBron James on the floor, as the superstar got the night off and the Cavs fell to the Pacers 103-93.
Irving (24) and Love (27) combined for 51 points, but no other player reached double-figures scoring.
The Cavs fall to 9-2 on the season, but are 4-16 in the last three seasons in games when LeBron does not play.
Paul George led Indiana (6-6) with 21 points, but received help from Jeff Teague (20 points) and Thaddeus Young (16 points), along with a solid night from Myles Turner, who scored 12 and grabbed eight rebounds.
Cleveland has had its trouble in Indiana in years passed and also was without J.R. Smith, who missed his third-straight game due to an ankle injury.
The Cavs have won one game at Indy since 2012, but most of their games in that span were without LeBron, as he wasn’t on the team 2012-2014 and has rested the last two times the Cavs were there.
For the second time this season, we don’t have a Role Player of the Game Award to bestow upon any Cavs, and although that’s standard whenever the team loses, Wednesday night was a rough night in particular for the reserves, none of whom stood out.
Even Tristan Thompson, an everyday starter, only scored two points, grabbing 12 rebounds.
Jordan McRae and Kay Felder scored nine apiece, both of which were season-highs for the young guards.
The Cavs are back in action on Friday, as they host the Detroit Pistons (6-6).
