Shumpert had his knee drained and missed the last two games of the regular season, while Williams has been dealing with a knee issue for a decent portion of the season.
The Cavs sent out an official update on Williams following practice today:
Cavaliers guard Mo Williams recently received additional evaluation of his left knee in New York from Dr. David Altcheck. Williams is currently undergoing a treatment and rehabilitation process and is listed as Out for this Sunday afternoon’s Game One of the first round of the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs series in Cleveland at The Q vs. the Detroit Pistons. His status for Game Two of the series (Wednesday night in Cleveland) will be updated early next week.
