Cavs Forward Kevin Love Placed In Concussion Protocol, Ruled Out For Game 7 Of Eastern Conference Finals

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love is out for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals against Boston, the team reported on Saturday afternoon.

Love went down midway through the first quarter of Game 6 after colliding heads with Boston’s Jayson Tatum. He hit the floor and needed assistance from the medical staff to walk off the floor and into the locker room. The All-Star forward was ruled out for the remainder of Friday’s contest due to evaluations necessary to determine if he had a concussion or not.

Cleveland evaluated Love before the team’s flight to Boston and ruled he is experiencing concussion-like symptoms. As a result, Love has been put into the NBA’s concussion protocol and is currently out for the deciding game of the conference finals matchup.
